Ian Jensen is passionate about helping people on the LGBT continuum achieve a wholeness and personhood not mirrored by heteronormative society. He earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis is LGBT Affirmative Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. He is a Marriage and Family Therapy Registered Intern (IMF 97393) in California. While completing his clinical training at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, Ian was offered a staff outreach position in Mental Health Services to assist those who are homeless in connecting to vital social services. After a promotion to the Sexual Health and Education Program, he created and implemented a Los Angeles County-funded PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) program. Then, he took a position with the Jeffrey Goodman Clinic as Medical Social Worker, focused on providing case management services to patients who are HIV-positive.

Recently, Ian opened his private practice under the supervision of Mona El Yousef, LCSW (LCS 27212).

Prior to his work in mental health, Ian was a professional actor for 14 years. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from California State University, Long Beach.
